Think is time to clarify something:

We appreciate very much any kind of new feature/contribution that is done by community, that surelly helps TestLink

to become a better application.

Because we need to provide support to users on code we have not written, we need to ask contributors to provide info or code

in a way that is ok for our needs.

Unfortunatelly sometimes instead of getting what we need, we receive just complains or comments regarding our request,

and normally people spend more time discussing our simple requests instead of providing material we have asked for.

Contributors have to think that his/her contribution has to fullfil to some extent with these constrains

1. can not be only useful for a single DMBS type (i.e. works ONLY on MySQL and not in postgres)

2. can not be only used on one Operating System (windows OK, Linux not, or viceversa).

3. simple installation instructions and usage instructions has to be provided in order to help other users.

If your contribution can work on limited enviroment, OK, but please indicate it.

We have switched to GIT => you can fork TestLink if you want, then for contributors not willing to fullfil our simple requests our suggestions is

add issue on mantis and provide link to you TestLink forked repository.
