We are open community and you are welcome to join us in effort for a better Test management ;-) The most wanted are people who knows php. But there is lack of document writers and testers too.
The team has the next core admins: Francisco Mancardi, Andreas Morsing and Martin Havlát. We have several rules, that help us organize the team. Choosen rules for newcommers - We don't accept wild coding into CVS. So each newcommer asks the current developers to check-in his work at the first phase (before he receive developer access in CVS).
- Adding a new features is only one part of job. Everybody must document his work (both comments in code and User guide).
- Respect coding standard defined in Dev. Guide and style used by others.
What to do to join the community? - Be active! TestLink is not our main job. So time is valuable and often you should not receive answer for the first question.
- Create account on http://groups.google.com/group/testlink-dev and join discussions. This is main communication channel.
- Describe particulary your patches. So we can accept and fit your work to the current plans. A sentence "I made numerous changes to the system and added many many reports." is not too informative.
- Join bug fixing. We have significant backlog.
- Follow our forum and help us to answer and pass valuable information into Request Tracker .
- Localization contributors: Use a special folder of forum . Only UTF-8 encoded strings are acceptable.
- We are looking for somebody who create scripts for automated Regression Set of tests. Open source tools are preffered.
